 ALS FIELD PRECEPTING INFORMATION PAGE.

MOST PORT JEFFERSION  REGULARLY SCHEDULED PARAMEDICS ARE SUFFOLK EMT-CC PRECEPTORS.

The following policies must be adhered to when riding student time.

Ride time is available 7 days a week. At leat 24 hours notice is required to schedule ride time. In the event that the student is going to be late or absent from a scheduled ride time, please call (631) 473-1367 to notify the Paramedic.

Port Jefferson members may schedule ride time 24 hrs a day . Non members are restricted to between the hours of 8am and 4pm daily.

Order of preference on an actual call will be as follows: Riding member with ALS privilages, Riding member attempting to attain ALS privilages, Students. It is the ultimate discretion of the preceptor as to when a student may enter into the ALS system.

Students must bring all required paperwork with them the day of the ride time. Students must bring a scope, and there driver license and EMT card with them. Port Jefferson students must wear there issued pants boots and shirt. Non members must wear Blue BDU style pants, a plain white or blue button down shirt, and EMS style boots. (sneakers are not allowed)
